Vanessa took a seat on the dry grass, casting her eyes over the field where people seemed to be very busy, some were playing football, others were play fighting, but they all seemed to be busy, something of course she wasn't, which she envied, she liked to keep busy, it stopped her thinking. She thought about going to join the football, but they were all boys and they were playing a little rough. So she looked over to the people play fighting, but really wasn't her thing, maybe she should find someone to talk to.
Vanessa saw some people sitting and chatting, that's what she wanted to do, but should she go over there, or should she just watch from a far, she never was good a making new friends, a little too shy with new people, but her past would explain that of course. In stead she decided to just sit and watch, this would take her mind away from what she didn't want to think about, well she hoped it would anyway.

Celeste was leaving supposed to be e-mailing her old friends and her grandparents, but she didn't feel like going all the way back to her dorm. She didn't know what she could do to keep her busy, a problem the other students didn't seem to be having. Some played various sports, a few argued, and a small group of girls that tried to be discreet were checking out those that were playing football. Celeste rolled her eyes and kept walking, trying to find someone that looked partially sane. She had to duck and dodge to keep from getting attacked from the various balls flying her way, but finally after a few minutes she was in the clear. She sighed from relief and finally stopped at a bench. Nobody was sitting there, but she could simply enjoy a nice texting break. She looked around to make sure nothing else was flying in the air before busying herself with replying to messages.

Vanessa sat watching, she noticing a young girl walking along the field alone, she seemed to be thinking about something, so maybe this wasn't someone she could talk to, she sighed as she thought for a moment, she looked over at her again as she sat on the bench, she began playing around on her phone, unsure of what she was doing Vanessa decided it really wasn't a good idea to go over to her.
So Vanessa sat on her own watching everyone doing something, wishing she had something to do, with no phone and no laptop she was all alone, she wondered where her friends were when she needed something to do, all to busy to even bother with her from the looks of it. Sighing once more Vanessa stood up, there was nothing she could do, he bum was going numb so she was going to sit on the bench and see if that brought any conversation with the other girl sat on it.

Now that she was actually safely across the field and alone, Celeste realized that texting was too dull. She did that with her free time, and she always texted the same people about the same thing. It wasn't like anything new had happened in the two hours it'd been since she last texted someone. The only reason she didn't put her phone away was because she didn't have anything else to do. It seemed like everyone else was off doing their own thing, she noticed. As she was scanning the crowd she noticed a girl sitting alone. Celeste wasn't sure whether it'd be rude to just go over and sit down so instead she offered a friendly smile before ducking to dodge a ball that was heading toward her face. She really did hate that boys had to be so playful. Why couldn't they control where the ball went, especially if they're all in a confined area?

Vanessa watched the young lady as she smiled at her, taking this as a sign, Vanessa smiled back, still contemplating going over and speaking to her, she shook her head glancing slowly around the field watching as the balls went flying everywhere all at once, luckily Vanessa was sat far enough away for even the best kicker not to reach her with the ball. She looked over at the young girl again as she quickly dodged a ball that was heading her way.
Vanessa stood up once more shaking herself down, her legs becoming to feel uncomfortable as she sat on the bench, she decided to move up the field a little more, the more she moved the less she had to go when she wanted to get away, she could just run.

The balls were flying faster and harder as the games got more intense, and the boys got more serious. Celeste was scared of getting hit so when she saw the blonde girl moving farther away from the field to avoid getting hit, she followed behind. She sat her things on the ground beside the girl but didn't place her butt on the grass yet. Even though the girl had smiled back, Celeste wasn't sure if she'd mind company. She decided to ask just to clarify and to be nice. "Mind if I sit here?" she asked pointed at the grass beside her big bag.

Vanessa sat looking around when she noticed that the young lady was approaching her, she started smiling at her again, making sure she looked friendly. Mind if I sit here. She asked her, Vanessa nodded before replying. Of course not, it's a bit hectic over there isn't it. Vanessa looked up at the young lady again. I'm Vanessa. She kept a smile on her face as she cast her eye over the field, watching the games going on, glad that she was away from it all now. Vanessa waited for the young lady to talk to her again, feeling a little conscious at the for a second.

It was a relief to Celeste that the girl didn't mind her sitting there. As she'd pointed out, the friendly games appeared to be a little hectic, and Celeste was in no mood to have a football imprint on her face. Once she was semi-settled into the grass she smiled back at the girl who had introduced her name as Vanessa. "Celeste," she replied looking over the field, to make sure that no balls were heading toward the girls. Once she was sure they were all in her area, she turned back to Vanessa. "So, what year are you?" she asked tucking fly away hairs behind her ear.

Vanessa was watching the people playing sports, keeping an eye on the balls that were flying around in air, she hated the fact that they had to play sports in the best place to catch the sun. She heard the young lady introduce herself, Celeste that's a nice name, she thought away to herself. She waited a few minutes as Celeste asked her another question. I'm in year 11, should really be revising for the stupid mocks I have coming up, but I'd rather be catching the rays. She smiled at Celeste, looking over at the sports again. What year are you currently in?
